My picture book debut!
THE GOOD NIGHT SHIFT
2025
Clarissa Wong at Scholastic has aquired world rights to THE GOOD NIGHT SHIFT, a picture book homage to multigenerational households and overlooked night-shift workers. The book will be illustrated by Isabel Roxas and is scheduled to be published in 2025.
THE GOOD NIGHT SHIFT was inspired by my sister, who has worked the night shift as an Emergency Room doctor for many years, and my parents, who have helped me through countless bedtimes.

Many things changed in the Paraguayan tourism landscape since the first edition launched. This update ended up being about 30% longer than the original and featured just as many plot twists as any good sequel should. Though some of the tourist information is out of date, I still recommend this edition to visitors looking to gain a better understanding of Paraguayan history and culture.
I sporadically post information about Paraguay here:

As a child I often played "guide book author" with my sister, who would delight in pretending to be a terrible hotel owner. I visited Paraguay frequently, soaking up the country's unique traditions, marveling at the beautiful landscapes and eating plenty of chipa. In writing this guidebook I hoped to share the country I know and love with visitors and immigrants alike. I am very proud of all the positive reviews it has received, both on Amazon and via private messages and over tereré.
